Back in April I shared Sean and I’s story, if you haven’t read it you can check it out here.
Here’s a quick glimpse if you haven’t, plus a little update; Sean and I met through mutual friends and quickly fell in love despite some geographic obstacles. I moved back to Indiana and Sean proposed last New Years Eve. December of 2016 we got our little pup Wesson, who is now one year old. In April we bought our home and in September we got married. After we got married I moved into our home, and two weeks ago we decided to bring another little pup into our family, Smith.
Smith and Wesson…does that sound familiar to you? If not, I’m sure it will to your husband! As Blake Shelton says in one of his new songs, “You name the babies and I’ll name the dogs.”
Sean had been telling me that he thought Wesson needed a buddy to keep him busy and to keep him company when we’re not home. I ignored him or said no every time he insisted. However, while on my trip home from a short trip to Texas, one thing led to another and I decided that I’d look online and see what puppies were available.
When I came across Smith his sweet face had me hooked, and then I realized he was from the same breeder as Wesson. So I texted the number on the ad and they said that we could come see him, and if we wanted to bring him home that evening we could. I texted Sean and he was all for it, so that’s what we did!
I got home from the long road trip at 4:30 in the afternoon. I showered and was ready for when Sean got home at 5:30. We jumped back in the car and made the hour long trip to pick up our sweet little pup. He snuggled in my arms the entire ride home and this fur mama was in Heaven.
Life couldn’t be any sweeter to us lately. Marriage is such a blessing. When we hear someone talk about marriage, whether at church or on the radio, Sean and I both comment that it feels like some sort of exclusive club that we’re finally apart of.
The holidays are approaching, and although we are navigating the ever complicated question of where we will be and when, we are ecstatic to be going to each family event together as a family ourselves.
I have a couple exciting opportunities that have taken place, one being the new blog design, Blogerize did an amazing job coming up with and implementing the new design. I’m thankful for the opportunity to have gotten to work with them!
I have a few other projects that I am currently working on and I am elated to share them.
