I’m trying to go outside of my comfort zone and try new things, but sometimes it’s hard! There’s just no other way to say it: it’s dang hard. When I try a new style, like denim on denim, I feel cute when I look in the mirror but then I walk out into a public area and I feel as though everyone is staring. I’m guessing you probably know exactly what I’m talking about!
With 2018 right around the corner, I’m making one of my New Year Resolutions to wear what I want. I really can’t think of a better time to focus on trying new things than the New Year. I got a jumpstart on that resolution and started a little early by wearing, you guessed it, denim on denim.
Since my teen years I have always thought that things had to match. By match I mean like matchy- matchy. Like really match. No crazy color pairing, no pattern mixing, and definitely no black and brown. Even though I know that this is so not the case, I still find it hard to mix patterns or wear black and brown together, or even wearing denim on denim.
