I’ve been spending my time doing a lot of DIY’s, which also means I’ve been posting a lot of DIY’s. For me, getting crafty is therapeutic and the stress of wedding planning is real.
On my to-do list for the day was to pick up gift bags for my mother and soon to be mother in law’s gifts.
I wanted to personalize them and this is what I came up with!
The technique I used for the lettering on the gift bags is the same technique I used for my DIY Wooden Kitchen Sign.
You will need a gift bag (any color or size), Sharpie water based paint pen (I used a white medium point), computer, a printer and paper, scissors, a white colored pencil, and a ball point pen.
Print out whatever words you want on your bag, in your desired font and size.
Trim your paper so it fits onto your gift bag, shade the back of the letters using the white colored pencil, then flip your paper over and trace the letters using your ball point pen.
After the letters are traced by the ball point pen, trace them again using your paint marker, after you have your outline in paint, color them in!
Super simple project and took me all of 30 minutes to do both!
Now onto the next wedding project!
