Living with Fibromyalgia, I have found that being gluten free has decreased the severity of the symptoms that I struggle with. I’ve been living gluten free for over a year now, although I do slip up and cave. On rare occasion I just can’t say no when the bread is passed in front of me. (Can you blame me!?)
I was first recommended to go gluten free by a chiropractor years ago. I attempted and failed miserably. Coming from a girl who lived on carbs, it was no easy task.
After I had one of my worst flare ups in April of 2016, I was told by my gastroenterologist, and then again by my gynecologist, that going gluten free would help. After hearing it more than once I figured I should give it a good try.
We left my gyno’s office and hit the book store. With help and lots of encouragement, I did it, and did it completely for a year. I still am gluten free besides my occasional cheats. During that time, I also significantly cut down my sugar intake. By cut down, I mean I completely eliminated processed sugar. Initially my body went through a bit of shock but I felt the difference and I felt good.
These products have helped me stay gluten free while still enjoying the good stuff!

Are you feeling the need for some crunch? Like real crunch, just like a real cracker, just like a real pretzel? These are going to be your go-to! Both items have multiple flavors of deliciousness!
Are you craving some pasta, like real pasta? Full of flavor and comfort? These are the best GF noodles that I have found. Implement them into any pasta dish, and your family won’t be able to tell the difference!
You’re about to get really excited! Have you been looking for candy that you don’t feel incredibly guilty about eating? I’m sure you’ve heard about Black Forest, but have you tried their organic options? Be sure to read the label (some of their items do contain wheat) but, I’m confident that you’ll find something that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Pizza is hard to go without. I could eat pizza everyday! At first it was hard for me to find an easy GF pizza crust. Luckily in Fort Wayne we have some local spots that have nearly perfected the gluten free crust. Shoutout 800 degrees and Acme! But what about when you want to make it at home!? Try Bob’s Red Mill, it’s thick and tasty!
I hope this little list helps you in your times of gluten free needs!
