As I sit and reminisce, I feel overwhelmingly blessed to have such incredible women in my life to call my family and friends. A special thank you to each of you that spent your time this weekend showering me with love.
Our morning started with the essentials, Starbucks and a mimosa, then we hit the road for the two and a half hour drive.
We spent our weekend at Put-in-Bay, Ohio. When we arrived, we hopped on the ferry to head over to the island Friday afternoon. On our ferry ride, it was raining and the waves were crashing (for a girl that gets motion sick it made for a rough ride) but all was well and the ride back was much smoother.
That afternoon we checked into our hotel, The Grand Islander, freshened up, had some girl talk, and opened gifts before a night out.
I packed plenty of white clothes, as any bride should. I picked up this casual white off-the-shoulder tee from (you guessed it) Target! And, if you’ve been following my blog, it should also come as no surprise that it was from the clearance rack for under $10. I’m obsessed with the detail on the shoulders and the thin material was great for the warm weather.
I wore this shirt twice over the weekend. I wore it on the ride there with some turquoise shorts and again on Saturday night paired with jeans.
Friday night, I wore an off the shoulder plain white ruffle shirt; it’s one of my favorites. On our walk to our destination my ruffle flew up and stuck to my lipstick, and then during dinner I proceeded to get barbecue all down the front. After we finished dinner I stopped back by the room to change. I put on a plain white tank and my “bride to be” sash. Luckily I didn’t spill anything else the rest of the night!
My favorite “outfit of the day” was my swimwear. My aunts gift to me was a white one shoulder ruffle swimsuit. Can you tell I love one shoulder and ruffles!? I love it so much that I think I will be wearing it again as a bodysuit paired with some shorts, so stay tuned.
This weekend was filled with many memories, all of them unforgettable.
Now, let the to-do list grow, the diet start, and the marriage soon begin.
